The Accounting Coordinator is to perform a variety of accounting and clerical functions in accordance with procedures. This position reports to the Controller. The Accounting Coordinator is key to the department organization and functionality.
Provides general accounting and clerical support for the accounting department as well as other functions for the mill. Performs a variety of routine and non:routine accounting and clerical functions in accordance with standard procedures. Job duties include but not limited to:
:Understands labor union contract and reviews and process payroll accordingly
:Works with managers and employees to ensure correct payment of payroll or take corrective action
:Performs general accounting tasks including month end closing
:Gather and process receipts for raw materials and other receipt items, review data to verify accuracy, and generate reports
:Complete physical inventories in different areas of the mill as needed
:Addresses issues with accounts payable including organizing and mailing contractor weekly reports (CWRs) to corporate accounts payable
:Processing of waste paper (OCC) including creation of manual tickets, review of all receipts for OCC and ensuring accuracy in inventory levels
:Collects, compiles, and analyzes moderately complex data and information including mill checkbook reports.
:Gathers and prints morning report information. Manages morning report data
:Contacts with other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve issues
:Responsible for all collection and organization of all require internal control reports
:Manages file organization and retention of records
:Organization and housekeeping in the office area which includes implementing and maintaining 5SQUALIFICATIONS
Must have high school diploma or GED. Must have a minimum of three years experience in accounting, finance, or administrative duties. Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills. Must have proficient knowledge of computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Prefer knowledge of SAP and Kronos. Must have demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work overtime as required. Must have a demonstrated ability to be at work when scheduled and on:time. Must have demonstrated ability to work as a team member focusing on outcomes, results, detail, and cooperating with others.
