Description
Purpose of the Job
Responsible for Analyzer duties as assigned by Instrument/Analyzer Supervisor. This will include the troubleshooting, installation, calibration, and repair of process analyzer equipment, and completion of Preventative Maintenance tasks at the Port Arthur, TX Site.
Principal Responsibilities
: The successful candidate will work with the Instrument/Analyzer Supervisor and Maintenance Technicians. This is to accomplish and document routine maintenance work including:
: *
Preventative maintenance
: Regulatory inspections
: Capital project assistance
: Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and documentation for process analyzers
: Support all EHS policies and procedures while promoting a safe working environment
: Track and update assigned tasks in maintenance management system (SAP) on daily basis
: Will be required to be available for Analyzer Technician on:call duties
: Be willing to work overtime as required
: May be required to use appropriate PPE per site policy
: Comply with all company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices
Qualifications : BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Knowledge and Experience : What skills, training or experience are needed to perform the job?
Required:
: Minimum of five years' experience in the operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of process analyzers, including, but not limited to:
: Gas Chromatographs
: Conductivity, pH, Silica, CEMS, O2, etc.
: Ability to read and update analytical, electrical and instrument documents such as schematics, specifications, P and IDs and one:line diagrams.
: Proficient in use of computers: (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
: Basic knowledge of DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers).
Preferred:
: Associate Degree in Instrumentation or equivalent Military Training (plus)
: Experience with Siemens and ABB Gas Chromatographs (plus)
: Previous Petrochemical experience with Process Analyzer
: Working knowledge of chemical plant equipment and technologies
: Overall excellent oral and written communication skills
: Knowledge of SAP data entry used for notification and history process (plus)
